I Love You Like You Love Certain Obscure Things, Secretly

I love your danger, your sadness, your loneliness, every bit of your soul and spirit. I love the way you look at me, the way you caress me, the way you kiss me. I know that  in each of your smiles there is a whole world of possibilities,  which I learn to peek through your eyelashes.

I love you in secret, it’s an impossible balance between reason and heart. If my heart says I love you, my reason will deny to infinity, but  my heartbeat won’t let me forget what I feel,  because I can’t let go of the emotion of looking at you.

And this secret is mine or both of us, but we know it exists without saying a single word, without revealing it. Dreams hide this secret under your pillow, and every night they whisper it in your ear.

I love you without knowing how or when or where

I don’t know when I started to love you, it was without realizing it, without thinking,  just feeling little by little that I could love every tip of your fingers, every word that your lips uttered, every one of the perfect imperfections of your body.

I don’t remember the exact moment when I started to love you, because there  were so many moments when your smile captured my gaze,  when you made me see the world through your eyes, that I couldn’t look at you in the same way. .

I don’t know how  this love grew, fueled by the way you walk the world, how you look ahead and make me see that life is what matters, the sky above our heads, the wind among the trees.

I love you without knowing where I am, where you are, where it all started. Maybe it was on the edge of your lips, on the curve of your neck, on the world your dreams create. It doesn’t matter, because it’s one place or there are a hundred places, but it’s the ones that taught me to see you as you are and to learn to see myself as I really am.

I love you directly, no problems or pride

Pride has no place, it doesn’t exist, because I love you even though I can’t have you, because your happiness is my happiness. Even though you’re nowhere near me,  I know your thoughts will bring my image to your mind and, for a second, put a smile on your face.

I don’t depend on the love I feel for you, nor on you, I just love you. I don’t want to possess you, because I love how free you are and let me be too. The freedom I enjoy is to love you without restrictions, without indefinite contracts. Even without being together, we are everything, because we don’t depend on each other, we respect each other.

So close your eyes close with my dream

I admire your courage to show the world your fragility, your vulnerability, without fear, knowing that there is a risk that you take without any fear, because it is about living fully. You show what hurts you, what worries you, cry and laugh, hug, get angry  and every particle of air around you receives your energy, your vitality, just as I receive it.

The combination we arrived at is wonderful, even when you don’t look at me you can see,  even when I have a dream you close your eyes to let your imagination fly. With one look, we can say a thousand things or none, we can hug or kiss, with a simple meeting in the air of your eyes and mine.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just inches from me, if you’re thousands of miles away, if I don’t see you, if I don’t hear you, if I don’t feel the touch of your skin. Because it  ‘s the wind that brings back memories of your smile, what you taught me, what I learned from you, the way I love you.
