Personal Growth: 6 Legs Of My Spider

Personal growth: 6 legs of my spider

Today I will tell you the precious metaphor of my spider’s 6 legs. I invite you to continue reading to discover the most magical pillars that each of us can and deserves to have in our lives, for our personal growth.

The metaphor consists of the fact that each one of us is a little spider with 6 legs that are in charge of supporting us. I feel each and every one of them, and they are equally important. These 6 little legs are our base, which keeps us on our feet and helps us to walk forward with happiness and enthusiasm, allowing us to advance or retreat in our personal growth process.

What are the 6 spider legs, pillars of personal growth?

First leg: Friendship

It constitutes one of the most necessary pillars in the social life of every human being. Sharing full and sincere relationships is something that fills us with happiness, allowing us to learn each day and advance our inner growth. That’s why it ‘s important that we take care of our friendships bearing in mind that they also take care of us.

Work your dignity in a balanced way, trying to put pride aside. Make efforts for what they deserve and learn to be assertive and say “no” when you think it’s convenient.

Value your surroundings and be careful not to maintain toxic relationships, which only cause unnecessary emotional waste and suffering. And most importantly, quality is much more important than quantity in personal relationships. Remember this.

second leg: love

Love is the basis of all vital movements. We want to feel loved and wanted, always based on a true feeling, full of authenticity and kindness.

The most important love of all is what we have to feel for ourselves. If we are in a relationship with the person we love, we need to take care of them and understand them. To enjoy a healthy emotional relationship, it is necessary to cultivate patience and good communication.

third leg: your person

As we mentioned in the previous point, we often let our own personal needs pass, being aware only of the people around us. Not forgetting ourselves is the key.

Spend time with yourself, do things you like to do, don’t think so much about what others expect of you, and spend at least 30 minutes a day doing what you like most.

If you know how to love yourself, you will know how to love the people around you. At this point physical and mental health are vital. Play sports and spend time with nature. Allow yourself to connect with yourself and generate the hormones of happiness and fulfillment.

Fourth leg: The family

It is time for everyone to realize that we are not the center of the universe and that the family is a fundamental support in our lives. Take care to take care of them. It is known that there is a “black sheep” in every family, but this is certainly the person who visited you when you were sick or who offered help when you needed it.

Give your family the benefit of unconditional love and stop complaining about one another. If you stop to really think about the feelings of those around you, you will realize how lucky you are. And remember, even in the worst situations you are the lucky one, don’t forget.

Delete everything and make a new account.  Why don’t you give some people another chance? Try it and, who knows, you’ll be surprised at how loved they are, how they contribute, and how there’s no love more unconditional than that of parents, siblings, grandparents… this is one of the most important paws and ones that we generally despise. Don’t wait to realize this when people start to walk out of your life.

Fifth leg: Professional life and work

This little paw will be summed up in you asking the following questions related to your work and your career: “What do I like?”, “What worries me?”, “Am I motivated in my work?”.

We spend most of our time working. Are you really going to live for what you don’t like? This is the question that always consoles us and opens doors for us.

We all deserve to live by our dreams and fulfill the goals that our hearts ask of us. If you can dream, you can do it, and you have all the tools for it.

Dare to be happy without spending hours and hours complaining. Just because you’re older doesn’t mean you can’t start studying what you like, quite the opposite. It is possible that you will achieve everything you set out to do, thanks to the experience acquired during so many years of life.

Sixth leg: Your hobbies and leisure time.

As Jose Mujica, President of Uruguay, very wisely says,  “When you buy with money, you are not buying with money, you are buying with the time in your life that it took to have that money.” Starting from this great reflection, have you ever realized that we do not take care of ourselves or dedicate to ourselves small moments of leisure? Are we simply living to work?

It is very important to learn to appreciate our time to do things we enjoy, with people we love, and continue to do so, strengthening our personal growth.

Don’t just think about working and suffering. Let’s be honest, we are in this life to learn and, above all, to enjoy the most precious thing it has to offer us. You have to be responsible for your work and career path, but don’t forget to prioritize your person. Enrich yourself with all that life has to offer and enjoy.

I hope this precious metaphor fills your heart with fullness and optimism, supporting your personal growth.

Although you think one of your paws needs a little more care, don’t worry. It doesn’t mean that the rest of the paws also have problems or need a lot of care.

The 6 paws allow us stability. They all help each other, don’t forget. Just care about taking care of them, giving all your love and, most importantly, your spider heart.
